Regina Sanyika, 12 years old, Richmond CA
"My softball team is good because we all work together," says Regina Sanyika who lives very near the YMCA in concrete streets of Richmond. True to the Olympic spirit, camp has taught her that taking part is what really counts, "All you have to do is try, and if you don't win, it really doesn't matter."
Regina wants to be a lawyer when she gets older so she can speak in front of a courtroom and help people. She admits she's not the best softball player, but says she's getting better. "I'm afraid of the ball, but the camp counselors are helping me feel more confident at the plate."
In her third year at Coronado, she thinks the best part of camp is seeing all the friends she's made over the last 2 years.
