At camp, Markiesha meets kids from many different towns and neighborhoods outside her own, and although she likes them, they better not hit the ball her way. This young second baseman can catch.
As we talk to her, she sheds her rugged second baseman's shell, and explains the most important thing she's learned in camp: "to treat people how you would want to be treated, and to respect others."
