Tsolak Yeghishyan
At the age of 29, Tsolak Yeghishyan is working to qualify for his second Olympic Games in Greco-Roman wrestling.
In 1996 at the Atlanta Olympic Games, Yeghishyan placed 9th overall in the 198-lb (90 kilos) category representing his home
country of Armenia. Since then, he has moved to the United States and helped coach wrestling teams at the University of
Oklahoma and the U.S. Army. In his second year as a loader/unloader for UPS, he recently transferred to Colorado Springs
to train with the U.S. Army Team full time.
In November 1999, he captured first place at the Winter Classic in Colorado Springs, CO, in the 213-lb category.
Yeghishyan hopes to compete at the 178 lb. (85 kilo) weight class in 2000 for Armenia.
