Karl-Heinz Klenz
Having been a long-distance swimmer most of his career, "Fiete" (his nickname) began working for UPS in
Germany as a pre-loader in 1996 while studying architecture in Hamburg. He moved to Leipzig to train with
his coach, and since has placed third in the 400-meter freestyle at the German University Championships in
June 1999, and second in the same event a month later at the State Championships of Saxony. In April of
this year Fiete captured victories in four events (50, 100, 200, and 400 meter freestyle) at the Ratisbona Cup 2000,
an early-season international competition in Germany.
Fiete has been featured in UPS TV advertising spots in Europe, as well as appearing on our packaging.
