John Mackay
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, John Mackay moved to the United States in 1992 to attend college.
After winning the Northwest Conference Championship in the 1500 meters, Mackay then won a scholarship to
Boise State University. Mackay led Boise State to two conference championships in 1995 and 1996 and placed in
the Top 10 at the national championships in 1996 in the 1500m. At the end of his 1999 season,
Mackay placed second in the Foot Locker 5K in Pasadena, CA, and had Top 10 finishes in races in
Philadelphia and San Francisco, 8k and 5k respectively.
