James Dennis
James Dennis's career of sports excellence started with a football scholarship to the University of Louisville.
He played four years of football, and in the off-season he set school records for the discus and shot put.
In his senior year Dennis set a conference mark in the discus, winning the championship. And then a problem with
his knee forced him to train exclusively for discus competitions. It wasn't long before he set a personal best - a discus
throw which finished him 7th in the USATF National Championships.
