Tongula
Givens recently had the opportunity to move to Joplin, MO, to train
with her college coach for the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials. Her coach must
be good: in 1996 Tongula was an eight-time NCAA All-American from Missouri
Southern State University in the triple jump and long jump. She also
qualified for both of these events at the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials.
In 1994 and 1995 Tongula won back-to-back National Championships in
the triple jump while in college.
Givens, 26, is currently ranked 11th in the U.S. in the triple jump. Tongula is featured in recent
UPS advertising print campaigns and on UPS packaging. You can see a day in
