Tom's Laundry Product Choices

With all this stuff I have to say about laundry products, you may wonder which ones I choose to use for my own laundry. I'll tell you, but remember that what works best for me may not be the best choice for you.

For color garments, I use Persil Megapearls Color. For whites I use Persil For my silk clothes and delicates, I use Perwoll. Those are my preferred detergents. They're imported from Germany, and you probably can't get them from your local supermarket if you're in America.

Regardless of brand, when I buy detergent, I choose a powder rather than a liquid version, because I think it's cheaper, and powdered detergent works perfectly well for me.

I use Snuggle fabric softener. I don't like the fact that I can't find an unscented version, but I feel it does a superior job on my clothes and the scent doesn't actually make me sick, so I grin and bear it, pardon the pun. Sometimes I'll use Downy if I happen to be washing something at a friend's house or if I run out at the laundramat and have to buy something from a vending machine, but I believe I'm allergic to their perfumes, so I only use their Free of Dyes and Perfumes version if possible.
